EDIT: This picture was posted prior to hearing the news about the terrifying false alarm Hawaii went through this morning. Our thoughts are with island residents and visitors as they as they had to endure that nerve-wracking situation and grateful that it truly was a false alarm. ❤
Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass... it’s about learning to dance in the rain. ☔️ 💃🏻
I know this is such a cliché quote, but this is quite literally what I ended up doing my first day in Oahu, so if there was ever a good time to use this quote, this would be the time 😂
But seriously, does anyone else feel they have bad luck with weather while traveling?? It almost NEVER rains all day in Hawaii, especially on the south side, but on my first full day there, we had a torrential downpour and flood advisory! 😳
I still wanted to make the best of it though, & I have to say it was quite exhilarating being out there in the storm.
Tell us a story of a time plans didn’t go quite as expected but you were still able to make the best of it!

This is amazing!
Once in my birthday in Bali I was caught in the middle of a thunderstorm and a big flood, like roads were impassable and I had to cross a flooded river with a scooter! After surviving that I don´t mind just some bad weather!! By the way I am a solo girl travelling around the world you will like my gallery:)
I had an entire catamaran trip planned for one of my last free days in Bocas Del Tora Panamá and instead I woke up to one of the loudest thunderstorms I have ever heard in my life! Needless to say, the catamaran trip was cancelled. I was so bummed. A friend of mine who I met while I was there came to my hotel room that morning b/c she and her family were scheduled for the same trip. We sat together waiting for the rain to stop while drinking a delicious cup of coffee trying to decide what to do. The rain eventually stopped, the sun came out and we would soon find out her husband found a local fisherman who offered to give us a private tour on his little boat. He showed us everything! That day ended up being one of my absolute favorite days of being alive! I was so so grateful for all we saw. Mangroves, dolphins, exotic beaches, sloths, a random restaurant in the middle of the Caribbean! So much to be grateful for, I can't even begin to describe it. ❤️
Yesterday was terrifying. Most of the world found out about this after it had already been declared a false alarm, while here in the islands we thought that a missile was coming for us for anywhere between 20-40 minutes until the official false alarm message went out. Very grateful this was just a mistake, but also very uncomfortable that this threat is our current reality.
I love this pic!! Amazing!!
Really beautiful shot😍
Such a cute photo! I hear ya on the weather. I just road tripped through NZ for a few weeks, and although the weather was great, I really wanted to get some star photos while on the south island.... except there was a supermoon and near-full moon the rest of the entire time I was on the south island 😂😂
Beautiful photo!! Makes me miss the island !!❤️✨
Lovely picture !

I've been wanting to visit this place!
